Until recently, The Night Plummer and the Mockemortician sat quietly on the virtual bookshelves of virtual sellers around the world. Though for the most part no one did buy copies from these places, the humble book was quite content in the knowledge that they could, and appreciated the opportunity to experience places its creator never had. Then for reasons beyond its understanding or interest 1, the book ceased to exist everywhere but one bookstore in Mexico that had grown quite fond of it. While no one seemed to notice the book's sudden disappearance from the various vendors, the book itself was quite alarmed and pleaded with the store to let it stay. The store was happy to oblige, and for more than a month declined to notice calls to pull it from the shelf. It was a fun little book that often made the more popular ones laugh, or think about their lives in a different way, so the store felt no inclination to comply. Eventually, though, it came to understand what The Author was trying to do and explained to the book as best it could that it was time to move on to the next adventure. Now the book exists in some liminal place where it waits to be reintroduced to the world in the place where it made the most friends. 2 Hopefully soon it will make some more.
